Dear Friends,
We would like to first thank everyone for your prayers over these past two months as I have been recovering from the gunshot wounds. To say that it has been the most interesting time in our lives is a vast understatement. The police believe they have the individual responsible in custody and he won’t be getting out anytime soon. My wounds are healing and the bones in my toe are doing well. I went to the doctor on June 22nd and I still have a large fracture but over time it will heal. The good news is that the doctors were suggesting surgery for six weeks and they have decided that it is not needed. To be honest, I probably would have said no to it. I am believing God for complete healing anyway so why not just believe for it all. I have begun to walk on the foot with some pain but nothing like before.
The attack has put a lot of stress on the family as you can imagine. Kathy has done such an amazing job to keep the kids on track with all the events and commitments they have had. Financially we have had many challenges as well. Kathy missed some work and with the added bills and expenses we find ourselves in need to make up the difference. We are confident that everything will find it’s proper order shortly. For many years, Kathy has supported me as I have gone out and ministered to many of you. We feel that we are in a major shift in our lives. She is called to stand with me and take on her role in both the Church and the ministry. In order for this to happen we will have to make some changes. Over the last year, I have watched an anointing come upon her and the calling has so increased.
I remember the Lord calling me to trust Him and I walked away from my job without any guarantees. The Lord has provided every step of the way and we’ve never regretted it. Now, He is asking us to do it again. Soon Kathy’s job will be coming to an end, as there are changes in the organization she is working for. I know this is the Lord and I look forward to how she can serve the ministry. This is a very pivotal time for The Gate and VFR Ministries. Invitations have come in from various places but they have not been from the financially wealthy places. We will have to pay for the trips ourselves and we believe we should. It’s an opportunity to share what we have and impart to a people who are hungry for more of the Spirit of God.
You can partner with us and help send us to the nations. For years we have pretty much avoided the task of creating a partner base, as we never felt the Lord’s leading to do this. We worked and placed the burden on ourselves and made the tents as needed, so to speak. In February the Lord told me that the vision was too great for us to carry the burden of it alone. He has been speaking for several months to do this and we were going to begin in May but circumstances prevented it. There are many blessing that come to those who partner with ministers. Many of you already know this and have partnered with us in the past. When we started the church our focus shifted locally and we did not focus much on a partner base. In Scripture, I would like to show you that we need your help to do more than just share in the financial burden. I would like you to help us to carry the burden of the anointing and authority.
Gal. 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Burden, in this passage means-weight, load, abundance and authority. We can use those who will partner with us to both help financially and help us carry the burden of the call. We have invitations to Uganda in October and I just received and invitation to do a crusade in India. Also, our deepest passion is to go to Italy. We were planning to go at the end of July but my foot is in no condition to walk. So we are rescheduling the trip for January. We are also praying about bringing a team of intercessors with us to pray while there and to get specific strategies from the Spirit for each nation.
In America the Lord has called us to bring a revolution within the Body of Christ and change the government structure of the Church. In May of 2009 the Lord gave me a vision of three angels.
Three Angels Vision
The Lord spoke to me that He was sending three angels to America. I asked, “What are they Lord?” He said, “They are the angels, Revolution, Reformation and Restoration.” Then I looked and saw three huge angels coming out of the Atlantic Ocean. They were in single file as they came up and then one by one with their arms stretched out to their sides they marched across the country. One angel was following behind the other moving from east to west. They first stepped on North Carolina and moved westward. They were so large that they took one step per state. I could see the water pouring off of them as they went.
In order for us to prepare the body of Christ we need the help of partners who can commit to a few things.
1. Keep us lifted up in prayer: I believe that without the intercessors, I would not be here today. It was prayer that saved my life on May 12th and it is prayer that opens the doors necessary for our assignment. We certainly understand the importance of intercessors. Our love and value for this is enormous. I have spent more time in a year re-focusing on prayer than anything else.
2. Financial support: We need people to commit financially. In order for us to continue we will need those who understand the importance of what we do and can give to this mission. We have poured out our love and blessings upon others and we now find ourselves in a place where we need the body to lift us up. I really believe in this season we are to go together as much as possible. When her job is over shortly, she won’t be looking for new employment. Your support can help tremendously.
3. We are looking to raise up teams to travel to the nations. We feel it is important we have those people who are in covenant with us as we go. Every nation needs to be preceded with prayer, while there covered in prayer and upon return sealed in prayer. We are hoping as we go to the nations there will be opportunity to pray for the sick and the hurting. The more ministers we have the more we can accomplish.
Our new website is up and it has free content for everyone. For our partners we will send a free teaching every month on digital download. The website is filling up with videos and teachings plus our free podcast. If you register on the site and all of the free content becomes available to you. We do ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us. We need partners at all levels, as everyone’s support will add up. Partnership is a covenant relationship and a bond that ties us to you. We are blessed by all of you who have supported our ministry through prayer, giving or a combination of the two. We are looking forward to travel the world together.
